It seems our current point leader was absent last week, and didn't send his character sheet.  We did use Shiv (some more than others.  I'm looking at you, filty cleric), but we used my copy of his character sheet (Thanks for the dick drawings Rene).  Does this merit XP?  What do the people think?

I voted yes as I am sure the xp will be used to further Shiv's parkour antics.  But he should have to filk for the xp, too.

yes, as a NPP (non-player person) I think Rene deserves XP for his dick drawings.

You didn't see the drawings.  It makes me wonder if something's wrong with Rene's dick.  Why are they all bent like that?

While I can't remember what I did to/with Shiv I'm sure 'd do it again.
You should give him just enough XP to have the same amount as everyone else.

"Leavin' My Character Sheet" (to the tune of "Margaritaville" by James Earl Buffet)
[possibly the first transnational filk...Todd will have to speak up if he qualifies before me...but certainly the first maritime filk!)

Drinkin’ some cocktails
Didn’t see no whales
All of these cruisers drunker than me
Watchin’ lame game shows
And entertainment that blows
But all this food is totally free

Leavin’ town without leavin’ my character sheet
Sailing around the Caribbean Sea
Some players want to access a penalty
But I say give me the XP

I had too much to do
Couldn’t meet the game crew
So I’ll just drink to keep from being blue
But it’s been a good trip
On a Carnival Fun Ship
Manned by a multinational crew

Leavin’ town without leavin’ my character sheet
Sailing around the Caribbean Sea
Some people want to access a penalty
Now I filked
Give me twice the XP

The cruise director juggles
I’m surrounded by muggles
Food’s so rich I’ll be shitting for days
But the booze keeps on flowing
The ship keeps on going
I’ll try not to get lost in this floating maze

Leavin’ town without leavin’ my character sheet
Sailing around the Caribbean Sea
Some people want to access a penalty
But I say give me the XP
Yes and some players want to access a penalty
But I still say give Shiv the XP

Well...  um...  I guess we should start with the good news.

For week before last, everyone gets 86 xp for the slaughter of two dastardly dire jackals.  This brings most of you to 930 XP.  Paul, since you were the first to filk this week (and you missed the discussion this week about how Jimmy Buffet is possibly the most reviled musician in history), an extra 5 to you (and you are oh-so-close to 2nd level).  Wow, that wasn't too great for the good news.

And, uh...  The rest of the news.

Let me start by saying that this was a dangerous mission with the potential for a very gruesome death.  In fact, a horrible outcome seemed so completely unavoidable that the party decided that someone should stay behind to draw plans for an inevitable rescue attempt.  "Who can we leave with this task?" the party cried.  "Who among us can shoulder this great burden?"  It had to be someone trustworthy.  Rax and Dax were immediately counted out.  Someone with brains.  Quick Ben was struck from the list.  Someone capable.  Well, we've all seen our magic user at work.  Ix-nay on Elkheart-ay.  Someone stalwart and hardy.  Elves can die from a paper cut--Can't leave Rider.  This left only Kensai, wandering Monk of the Radiant Claws of the Tiger; and Shiv Clearwater, sellsword, bodygaurd, travel guide, and dreaded aspiring ninja-pirate.  Upon which of these mighty heroes would this crucial task fall?

The choice was obvious.

The black guy.

For the record, those of you who followed Kensai into battle with the ghouls and witnessed his awesome and complete destruction of unholy, unhinged and  unwholesome undead; you get 150 XP each.  Paul, I have faith in you  that in time you will once again regain your rightful postition as XP point leader.

Maybe when you get that thinblade.

Oh well. A young man gets what he can. It's good to know that someone thinks Shiv is "capable".

(and you missed the discussion this week about how Jimmy Buffet is possibly the most reviled musician in history)

Of course he is...that's what makes the filk that much better. Floating in the Caribbean and filking to Jimmy Buffet, it's almost too perfect. Except now I can't get the song out of my head.

And, as a footnote, Señor Buffet is my brother's favorite "musician".

For killing Titus Rivers, ashen husk, you all receive 65 XP.

Paul can now become a ninja-pirate.

Damn.
